Sterling is a son of McGinnis, a Light Rose Grey herdsire of ribbon winning and champion crias.  McGinnis’s lineage includes: PPPeruvian Augusto 6009, an AOBA Breeders Choice Huacaya that sold in the 2000 Breeder's Choice Auction for $226,000, a world record price that stood for a number of years.

Sterling’s dam is the daughter of CPeruvian Silvino 122, his fleece is actually pink and he is know for his gorgeous rose grey fleece which won First Place in the 1999 AOBA Fleece show. 

Sterling’s maternal brother is AofO Silver Celebration, his show wins included 23 blue ribbons and 21 banners.

Sterling began his award-winning show career in 2009 and deserves his title as a 3x Champion. His awards include one Championship and two Reserve Championships from very competitive grey classes.

Sterling has inherited his medium silver grey color from his sire and dam.  He is a masculine male exhibiting very fine, dense fleece with brightness and bundles of crimp.
