During November two Girl Scout Troops Earned a "Yarn and Fabric Arts" Badge.
Their Farm Tour consisted of a walk to the barn to learn about the living quarters and what’s required to raise alpacas. They learned about the history of the Alpacas, how Alpaca fleece is processed, and the import of Alpacas to the USA. Everyone participated in a fiber workshop where they were taught how to do Wet Felting. The girls made beads out of the Alpaca fiber; the finished product was either a bracelet or necklace that they wore home.
